Aspiring Creative Entrepreneurs:- artist, designers and crafters are invited to meet and speak to designer Barbara Garnes of Sohe (Southern Hemisphere ) Designs.

Ms Garnes will introduced her holiday line as she hosts this months Sip and Shop, a late night Shopping event.The monthly  SIP ‘N’ SHOP, allows customers to meet the current designers- the perfect forum f to see the store in action with demos and introductions to new product lines. 

Ms garnes is active in the movement to improve Brooklyn's independent design industry, reaching out to younger designers and sharing her experience in such forums!

Previous to founding Southern Hemisphere Design Group, Barbara Garnes owned and operated My Father’s House, a manufacturing and wholesale company for home textiles, apparel and accessories since 1990. 

Over the past 12 months SoHe Designs was able to develop its product line, while developing its business model and plan. During this time Ms. Garnes traveled to trade shows and credits her creative enterprise training for enabling her to acquire a sales deal with a major retailer and her press feature in  respected industry magazines. Her porcelain dinnerware and African Toile tea sets will be available in stores this October.
